Saucy Mushrooms Cooking Directions
Microwave Directions: Place a frozen, unopened bag with instructions side up, laying flat in microwave. DO NOT PIERCE BAG. For microwaves with a metal shelf, remove shelf. Microwave at 165 F for 3 to 3 ½ minutes. During cooking the bag will slowly inflate. A vent in the bag will allow the steam to escape and a whistling sound may be heard. Let stand in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes. Carefully handle bag at corners marked with the ovals and remove from microwave with two hands. Check that the Saucy Mushrooms are cooked thoroughly. Hold bag over serving dish. Tear bag at notch. Pour contents into dish and stir. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
Stovetop Directions: Empty frozen Saucy Mushrooms into a 2 quart nonstick sauce pan. Add 2 tablespoons of water. Cook covered over medium heat for 7 minutes until heated through, stirring occasionally. Remove lid and let stand for 1 to 2 minutes. The mushroom sauce will thicken as it cools. Stir and serve.
Caution: Contents may be hot after heating. Test temperature before eating. Microwave ovens vary so time is approximate. Do not heat in convention or toaster oven.
