Employee Spotlight: Jose Lemus

About

Jose Lemus has been a part of our South Mill family for the past 8 years. Jose was born in Moroleon, Mexico and moved to this area with his family at the age of 12. It took him 2 years to learn English and although it was difficult at first, he is fully bilingual. Jose is the second oldest of 7 children – 5 boys and 2 girls. Jose graduated from Avon Grove High School and in 2009 joined our South Mill, where his brother, Enrique, was already working. Now, his brother Ivan, uncle Rigoberto, cousin Randy, and aunt Maria, also work with us. Jose likes learning new things and has had various opportunities at South Mill. He enjoys working with people which has served him well as our Packing Supervisor over the last five years. He would like to continue learning and earning more responsibility within the company. In his free time, Jose enjoys lifting weights and, with his cousin and two brothers play on the South Mill soccer team, where he serves as the coach. The team plays every Wednesday against other local produce and mushroom companies. He is looking forward to getting married in September. We wish him continued success. Thank you, Jose!
